The CPG Full Body Meeting is scheduled for Thursday February 26, 2009 from 3-5pm at HDHHS 8000 N. Stadium Dr., Houston, TX 77054 in the 4th Floor DOC.
In preparation for the meeting please read pgs. 8-20 of the HIV Prevention Community Planning Guide (see attachment, or section 5 of your training manual). If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

I hope each of you are doing well and on the road to recovery following Hurricane Ike. You have been in our thoughts and if you need anything from us, please do not hesitate to ask.
The Houston Department of Health and Human Services is operating in Hurricane Ike response mode. Many of our staff has been deployed to assist the residents of the city regain some sense of normalcy. Therefore, this afternoon’s CPG meeting will be held in the 5th Floor Conference Room. Please let me know if you are able to attend this important meeting. We will review HDHHS’ Interim Progress Report (IPR) to CDC and also review the Community Services Assessment (CSA) in depth. We will need to vote on concurrence, non-concurrence or concurrence with reservations regarding the IPR. So, if you cannot attend, for any reason, please give your proxy to a member that will attend.

I am in the midst of attempting to reschedule all of the missed CPG committee meetings for tomorrow Tuesday 09/23/08 and Wednesday 09/24/08 so we can have the Full Body meeting on Thursday 09/25/08 as scheduled. I know many of you are just returning to your offices and have a number of things to catch up on; therefore I am proposing that all of the committee meetings be conducted via phone and last no more than 30-45 minutes. Please look at the tentative schedule below and let me know if this is feasible for your schedules; once I receive responses I will let everyone know the results.
CMRC: Tuesday 09/23/08 at 11:00am (may change if committee decides to interview candidate or postpone until the October meeting; please let Jeff know ASAP)
